Following a twenty year career in business and marketing, I pursued my degree and career in therapy and counseling. I also do life coaching, and animal assisted therapy with my two Labradors, Frankie and Zoey.
Having survived the loss of my 18 year old son Todd in 1993, I was the professional advisor to the Bereaved Parents of the USA for eight years, supporting the organizations mission to grieving parents. In therapy I bring the unique experience of being a grieving mother along with being a grief counselor. I am also a national spokesperson for Womenheart the national coalition of women with heart disease.
I have been in private practice for over ten years, and I am priveledged to walk with my clients on their journey. I use cognitive behavioral therapy, solution focused therapy and an eclectic mix of therapies based on the client’s needs. Having had therapy myself over my lifetime, I find that it is enormously helpful in validating our strengths and looking at problems through new eyes.
